Kind of like giving birth

It dawned on me last night how this whole experience of preparing to move into the rv is a lot like preparing for childbirth. First of all there is the emotional component which comes with being one week away. You are excited, fearful of the uncertain, wondering if you can do this, and mentally putting your former life behind you. Then of course there are the physical preparations...things you have to buy for the baby/rv, setting up house, getting rid of things that are taking up too much space, making room for baby ie. downsizing to move into an rv.

Then after you set up house/room for baby, you sit back and wait. You look at the special touches you have added and think about what life will be like when baby is here in that room or in my instance you hang up those special photos in the rv and think about what life will be like on the road.

All is done and you wait for baby to arrive/moving day to come...anxiously. You try to relax because you will need your strength but you find it hard in your anticipation or sometimes fear to do so. You know that in one week you will be giving birth to a new human being/to a new journey....and life as you knew it before will never be the same.
