We are weather cursed

We arrived this morning at the Whip In RV park in Big Spring, TX (you'll see why I added the name for your google map viewing).

We are currently watching the local news with 'unbelievable' storm activity. We are currently seeing a severe thunderstorm AND tornado warning for the next 45 minutes. We are awaiting winds up to 60 mph, hail the size of golf balls and circulation in the system heading our way.

Come on Little House On Wheels...we can hold!

We originally planned on heading to Andrews, TX but I'm glad we changed our minds; the highway there is underwater and was literally pelted with rain, hail and had a few funnels.

Safety vibrations heading your way NOW!!!! Whoa. Hmmm... I've been thinking lately about weather quite a bit, wondering if we'll encounter anything similar as we head south for a while this coming week. Keep us all posted on your safety and wellbeing with all that fun stuff happening. It'll be nothing but a homeschool lesson on wild weather... since you HAVE the Little House on Wheels of Steel ;-)

Thank you all for the thoughts. Whew, looks like the worst had past. Has anyone else been through such a storm?

It rained pretty hard but no really harsh winds as we had in Owl Creek.

Looks like there may be more on the way weather wise but hopefully not as bad. Still didn't stop me from making Chicken Mojo Creole with yellow rice. But then, Willow started to run a fever and puked.

Nice....

uhg... I hear ya on the pukies! We've been stuck in RI for weeeeeeeks because of various viruses spinning through the crew - including barf-o-rama. Not cool.

Glad everyone's safe and sound though!
