Yes, I'm slacking

I as Amy has stated, will be updating or better yet catching up these past few weeks and be done with it. There was still alot to do at the house and have everything there in order. Wouldn't you want your deposit back ? Or a portion I broke a chair yikes.

Let's just say one update I do have is regarding the RV heating furnace. For some reason it started working the day before Christmas and we were over joyed.

We arrived at my mother's house on Christmas day and guess what, couldn't get it to fire up. After a week using the portable heater, we learned that the temps here will be in the mid to low 30's starting today and for the next few days. Oh heck no!

After a hour of research I tinkered with 'sail switch' and it's connections. Well, problem solved! The furnace fires up just fine. Problem, lol uses alot of propane and a trip to refill will be in order in the next few days.

Happy New Year.

Rik.

Thanks for your well wishes! I think it always helps to hear each other's pitfalls so we all feel human and like we can get through it. Nobody wants to constantly read how perfect life on the road is, right?;)

We arrived in Fort De Soto yesterday and discovered that the hot water heating element had gone - washing tomatoey pasta dishes in cold water just doesn't cut it! I was ready to boil water but Dave realized what was wrong and switched to heating with gas. The downside: we have the small gas tank to save on weight while towing so we have to be really conservative with it until we get a replacement. For sure, it's not all sunshine and roses, just like with a house, there's always something to go wrong! Glad you got things sorted with the heating, especially with these Florida temps right now: it's chilly!

Thank you all. Yes Fort Desoto is nice. We have camped there once but before we purchased the RV. Right now we are dealing with the next cold front brrr and trying to manage our gas supply. I have switched the frig to electric to try and conserve gas for heat along with turning OFF the water heater when not in use. You are lucky that you have a dual water heater. Ours just runs on gas.
